Ahhhhhh, August.  The month of sharpening pencils for school, buying textbooks at ridiculous and heinous prices and finding birthday presents for my mother.

It should be a solid month.  Check out the Dance Card for some concerts that are coming up.  I’m particularly excited about the Tommy & The High Pilots concert (they’re opening for Hellogoodbye…blast from the past).  I haven’t seen them since November, and I’m pining a bit.

But I digress.  This post is all about the new song for the month.  The song is “Calendar Girl” by Stars.  It’s a wonderful song by a good Canadian band (slowly coming to terms with the fact that Canadian bands tend to be better more consistently than American bands) and you should give it a listen.
